Miree HancockThe Well Founder & Owner of Green Earth Kids – Eco Workshops & PartiesMiree is a powerhouse of ideas and energy, passionate about children and keeping our planet healthy. She has a BA majoring in Sustainability and Development and is almost finished her Cert III in early Childhood Education and Care. Miree has over a decade's experience in nannying for private families, running a dance school and working as an educator in a local kinder. She runs eco workshops through our sister business Green Earth Kids and created The Well as a place for our community to connect and for children and families to heal while expressing their creativity in new ways. She facilitates our sensory playgroups, social connect sessions, nature craft and gardening clubs. | |
Andy HancockTabletop Gaming CoachAndy is a lover of all types of gaming but has a special place in his heart for tabletop board games and role playing games like Dungeons and Dragons. He had been a D&D 'dungeon master' (the dude who writes the plot and runs the whole game) for much of his life and is passionate about creating exciting adventures for people to play out. His experience includes being a Karate Sensei for children, a Scout Leader & a mentor in the ... program. He loves seeing children engage and have fun together and reach their creative potential. He currently works in the Public Service and volunteers as a Youth Leader at his church. Andy and wife Miree have also been Foster Carers for the past several years, a role they love and carry out wholeheartedly. | |
Ros MolyneuxYoga Instructor - Hearth Nature PlayRos is a registered teacher with over 30 years experience including as an Early Childhood teacher, Early Learning Director, Consultant and Coach. Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Education, Master of Education Studies, and a Diploma of Children’s Yoga Teaching. She has a special interest in children learning through the Expressive Arts and Nature Play. Her yoga classes provide children the opportunity to explore and use their bodies in a fun way through music, movement and story. Classes include breathing exercises, storytelling through yoga poses, dance, creative props such as puppets and each class finishes with relaxation. Music education introduces children to the wonderful world of music and fosters all areas of their development. Classes include introduction to rhythm and beat through the use of simple percussion instruments, creative props, movement and dance. Listening, social interaction and turn-taking are promoted in a fun and engaging manner. Ros is the Director of Hearth Nature Play, a wild bush venue in Grenville, near Buninyong. Hearth Nature Play offers Nature Playgroups and Bush Kinder and is excited to be connecting with The Well to offer these opportunities for the Ballarat community. | |
Kaye LockCounsellor - Balanced Kids CounsellingKaye's counselling sessions provide a safe space for children, teens and their families to explore and seek to understand some of the challenges that get in the way of being our best selves. Balanced Kids supports each aspect of human development, focussing on mental, physical, social, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. Kaye has a Masters of Social Science (Human Services) and is a member of the Australian Counselling Association (level 4). She has over 10 years counselling experience including over 1000 contact hours. After a career spanning 35+ years as a primary, secondary and early childhood teacher, Kaye established Balanced Kids Counselling in 2019. | |
Deepika JainDietitianDeepika is a qualified dietitian with over 8 years experience in the industry both in India and Australia. She has specialised in therapeutic diets in hospitals and diet clinics. Deepika comes to The Well to share her knowledge and provide nutritional consultations to children and teenagers regarding healthy eating and food challenges like picky eaters. Clare McNultyHypnotherapist - Inspire U Hypnotherapy and Nature Therapist - Nature Nurture UClare McNulty is the creator of Inspire U Hypnotherapy and holds a Diploma in Nature Based Therapy. She is also a Music of the Plants facilitator With nearly four decades of healthcare experience, including ten years as the Manager of Pastoral Services in a busy regional hospital, Clare identified a genuine need for individuals to reconnect with fundamental principles, empowering them to achieve self-reliance in their holistic well-being journey. Guiding her clients, Clare actively supports them in shaping their holistic health through Hypnotherapy and Nature-based Therapy. By tapping into their inner wisdom, fostering self-discovery, and building a deeper connection with nature, an appreciation for its beauty and inter connectedness is instilled, nurturing not only a profound sense of belonging but also imbuing their lives with enhanced depth and significance bringing a sense of purpose and peace. Clare will be offering Meditation sessions for relaxation, stress relief and empowerment with her Nature Nurture U sessions. Rebecca O'CallaghanTheatre CoachRebecca O'Callaghan trained at the Mountview conservatoire of performing arts, London and has a BA hons in Acting and musical theatre, Cert 1 in armed and unarmed combat from the British Academy of Dramatic Combat, LAMDA gold medal and studied intensive musical theatre and performing arts at the Chichester college of Arts. She developed a passion for performance from a young age with the National Youth Music Theatre and toured the Edinburgh festival with the petticoat opera. Upon graduation, she performed professionally in UK theatres before moving into teaching following the birth of her first child. Aside from vocal training, she has been a teacher for Gymboree play and music, numerous performing arts and public schools in the uk and Australia and opened the Arundel youth theatre in 2010 for which she was creative director in the years before returning to Australia. She now works as a performer for Sovereign hill and has recently gained her cert 3 in fitness and a diploma in baby massage. Rebecca still does voiceovers, tv work and performs in local plays from time to time but her passion remains guiding others. |
